Three ways to organise your family's records
Each Trustlee session is designed around a specific scope — a short visit, a focused workshop, or a longer programme — so you choose the one that matches your household's needs.
Back to HomeHow every Trustlee session works
Sort
Documents are laid out and grouped by type — identity records, property records, heritage materials, correspondence — using a consistent taxonomy.
Label
Each document or group receives a clear label. Labels use plain language, not codes, so any family member can read and use the system.
Catalogue
A catalogue entry is created for each category — what documents are in it, where the physical copies are stored, and any relevant notes.
Index
A printed index page is produced, giving the whole household a single-page reference to what exists and where to find it.
This four-stage approach runs through every session, scaled to the scope of the visit. A Family Records Visit covers the core sequence in a half-day. The Heritage Records Programme runs the full sequence across several weeks with additional archival depth.
Family Records Visit
A short companion visit helping a household lay out their personal records into a labelled folder set. The session is informational and organisational only, with no opinions offered on legal positions or asset matters. Participants leave with a printed index page and a small folder kit.
- Suitable for a household new to organising their records
- Typically runs as a half-day visit
- Covers personal identity, property, and household records
- Folder kit and printed index included
- 30-day follow-up support after the visit
Heritage Reference Workshop
A small workshop helping families build a printed reference of where heritage materials live — photographs, letters, certificates, and keepsakes. The workshop is run as labelling and reference work, not as opinions about specific arrangements. Participants leave with a working draft binder and a labelled folder kit.
- Suited to families with accumulated photographs, letters, and keepsakes
- Full-day workshop format for up to six family members
- Working draft binder produced during the workshop
- Heritage item labelling included
- 30-day follow-up support after the session
Heritage Records Programme
A multi-session programme guiding a family through a careful organisation of long-term heritage records. Covers inventory, labelling, scanning checklists, family-meeting agenda templates, and a printed final heritage handbook. The programme proceeds gently over several weeks. It is educational and archival in scope and does not include opinions on legal matters.
- Multi-generational records spanning several decades
- Runs across several weeks at a pace set by the household
- Full heritage handbook compiled and printed
- Scanning checklists for digital continuity
- Family-meeting agenda templates included

Shared across all sessions
Confidentiality
Nothing seen during a session is recorded, retained, or shared beyond the session. All materials remain with the household.
No original documents removed
We handle originals with care and return them to the household at the close of every session. Nothing leaves the home.
Non-advisory scope
Sessions are organisational and educational. We do not comment on legal, financial, or asset matters at any point.
Completed as agreed
The scope and timing of each session are confirmed before it begins. Sessions are completed within the agreed timeframe.
Bilingual sessions
All sessions can be conducted in English or Bahasa Malaysia. Labelling is done in the language preferred by the household.
30-day follow-up support
After every session, families may contact Trustlee with questions about the folder system or index for 30 days at no additional charge.
Clear, all-inclusive session prices
All materials — folder kits, index pages, binders, and handbooks — are included in the session price. No extras.
